Red Goes Green: Volunteers Sought for Recycling Effort The Associated Student Government is proud to announce a volunteer opportunity, Recycle With the Razorbacks, in conjunction with the athletic department and department of facilities management in order to encourage fans at this football season's home opener to recycle their waste from both inside the stadium and at selected tailgating locations. We are seeking involvement from any registered student organization on campus that is willing to commit volunteers to serve inside the stadium during the game. These volunteers will receive free admission to the game and will spend either the first or the second half directing fans to the appropriate recycling receptacles and maintaining the order of the recycling. Any organization interested in committing members to work at this Saturday's home game against Troy should e-mail asg@uark.edu with a commitment to a number of people they will bring to volunteer. Please do your best to submit your intention to volunteer by noon Wednesday, Aug. 29 (later submissions may be accepted). Any and all questions should be directed to the same e-mail address. Recycle With the Razorbacks will be an ongoing program throughout the home football season and will accept both plastic cups and bottles inside Donald W. Reynolds Stadium, in Lot 44 outside the Broyles Center, and in the Gardens, the tailgating area beside Bud Walton Arena. Affiliated departments will also be recycling cardboard from stocking the stadium and working to sort waste left inside the stadium. |
